Ingredients
- 1.5 cups of pitted dates
- 1 cup of almond flour
- 1/3 cup of cocoa or cacao powder
- 1/4 cup of almond butter (can sub for peanut or cashew butter)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- Handful of chopped walnuts and cranberries
- Water as needed (for sticky consistency of batter)
- In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, almond flour, cocoa powder, almond butter, vanilla extract and salt. Blend until the mixture is sticky and will hold together. If the mixture is too dry, add 1-2 tbsp of water until the desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the batter to a small square container. I used a glass meal prep container that was 8×4. Press down firmly with your hands to create an even layer. Press in the cranberries and walnuts on top.
- Refrigerate the brownies for a few hours before cutting.
- Enjoy!
